How long does the process of creating a Beanie take...from idea to finished product? (submitted by beanykid)

A:
It has taken me as little as one month to as long as 2-1/2 years to design one Beanie Baby from start to finish. The process of choosing a special name, writing a perfect poem and choosing the correct fabrics varies from Beanie to Beanie. The length of time depends on how many changes I decide to make before I am satisfied that it is ready to be added to the rest of the collection.

A:
In the beginning,I chose the birthdays of a few special employees. Later on, I asked my closestfriends if they would like their birthdays used on a Beanie and every oneof them happily agreed. Now I try to include the birthdays of many peopleI have met over the past several years.
