 Maples was first going to be named Pride The first 3,000 or so Maples released had the tush tag Pride. Maples poem has two versions of the last line:

Can you guess what country he's from? Maple has a brown nose, so watch out for counterfeits with black noses. During August 1997, the Canadian Special Olympics used Maple to raise money. An additional swing tag was added that says, Special Olympics Celebrities Sports Festival.
